What Type of Caregiver Interview Has The Greatest Show Up Rate?

Mar 27, 2023

Zoom? Phone? In-Person?

What is the best interview type for caregivers to increase show up rate? You asked, we answered!

The Co-Founder of Pre-Intent, Chris Bowker, is back to give you the inside track.

Check it out!

Here's an interview of Nick Bonitatibus with Chris Bowker on what type of caregiver interview has the greatest show-up rate.

Nick: What type of interview has the best caregiver show-up rate?

Chris: I am often asked about the best interview process to get the greatest results. In my experience, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. The key is to allow candidates to choose the interview method that they feel most comfortable with, whether that be in person, on the phone, or through a virtual platform.

Some may argue that in-person interviews are the best method, as they provide an opportunity to meet the candidate face-to-face and get a better sense of their personality and communication skills.

However, the reality is that many candidates may not have the means or the desire to travel for an interview.

By limiting yourself to in-person interviews only, you may be missing out on some highly qualified candidates who would have preferred a different method.

On the other hand, some may argue that phone or virtual interviews are the best option, as they save time and money for both parties. While these methods may be more convenient, they also have their drawbacks.

For example, it can be more difficult to gauge a candidate's body language or nonverbal cues through a phone or virtual interview.

So, what is the best method?

The answer is simple: whatever method the candidate feels most comfortable with.

By allowing candidates to choose their preferred method, you will increase the likelihood that they will show up for the interview and present themselves in the best light.

One way to make the interview process easier for both parties is to automate the scheduling process. This can be done through self-scheduling tools like Calendly or through built-in tools like the ones we offer at Pre-intent.

By making the scheduling process as frictionless as possible, you will increase the chances of getting candidates in the door as quickly as possible.

In today's competitive job market, it's more important than ever to make the interview process as convenient and efficient as possible.

By offering candidates a choice of interview methods and automating the scheduling process, you can attract more qualified candidates and ultimately hire the best fit for your organization.
