On today's episode of Digital Champions, I'm talking about how to create a greater impact.
When it comes to social media, what do you post? What do you share? What type of video content do you create?
I focus on the three Es
So how can we focus on those three areas? But even better, rather than doing those individual three Es, how can we incorporate all three Es?
If you've seen my videos, you know that I try and entertain with some crazy effects or do some jokes throughout.
I try and empower you guys to do video, get out of your comfort zone, and make it happen. And then that last one, education, which is really the forefront, I am such a huge proponent of utilizing the power of education in your social media because that is what gets shared. People want to learn.
We have this natural instinct. Think about a child when they're growing up. They're always just looking, eyes wandering, trying to find, bringing in as much...
On today's episode of Digital Champions, I'm talking about what are some other videos that you can make for your business.
4. Recruiting Employees
This can be such a powerful tool if you're looking to hire more people for your organization. Highlighting your current employees and why they like to work for you, so similar to the video about your about video, you wanna do the same thing for your employees.
Why should someone work for you?
Not, hey! I have jobs! Yes, that can work depending on what it is. But at the same time, it can be so much more powerful to try and recruit people for the why. The best employees probably already have jobs.
So if you can properly reflect why your company is the best, and why this particular employee should come to you, because your other employees are so happy and they love working for you, that's gonna be your best recruiting tool. It's gonna be able to allow you to bring in better help and more...
There is so much more you can do with video! There is so much that I had to break it into 2 episodes. Check out Part 1 of What Types of Videos Should You Create For Your Business.
On today's episode of Digital Champions, I'm talking about what are some other videos that you can make for your business. I know, I talk a lot about content and there's a reason for it.
Focusing heavily on content is what people like to share. It's valuable, it provides something that people can learn from, that they are inspired from, and they want to share it.
If you're just talking about your services, it tends to be more on the sale-sy side and people don't like to share that. So coming from that place of education and coming from that place of value is gonna get much better results on a consistent basis and that should be the majority of your content.
Now, that being said, there are a ton of other uses that you can use video for.
1. Start With Why
The first thing is your about video. I always...
I hear you and I am here for you! In today's episode of Digital Champions, I discuss some of the frequently asked questions that I hear time and time again.
1. How often should you post your videos?
The short answer is, consistently.
Yes, whatever that number may be for you. Now the general recommended amount is once a week, but I understand that that can be a lot.
It's a lot of content to create, a lot of videos to put out, and it's more important that you're doing it consistently based on your availability and your time. So a good place to start is posting once every two weeks.
Now if you need to do it once every month, you can but I believe that once every two weeks is a good place to start. And then as you kind of get better at filming as you start to see the results that come from creating videos, then you can start to create more content and do it once every week.
But again, you'll get there, it takes time to get to that level where you're putting it out. It's more...
Does what you wear make a difference? Absolutely! On today's episode of Digital Champions, I discuss what to wear in your videos and why it's important to be consistent with your brand.
When it comes to choosing your attire, a big part of it is branding. This is why I wear the same thing every single time. I have my company shirt on, I wear my favorite blue jacket. This is part of my brand.
My viewers know that when you see me wearing this, you're getting video and digital marketing content. It's similar to how cartoon characters wear the same outfit every day.
So that's how you can be where this becomes part of your brand, part of your brand recognition. So if you decide to, let's say, be a speaker or you're going out marketing and you want to wear this, it becomes something that you're known for.
Now, the other side of that, it doesn't necessarily have to be the same thing, but the one thing that's beneficial about it being the same is that you don't have to...
The cold hard facts are that you are not an actor. Sorry. However, there is a better way. On today's episode of Digital Champions, I discuss the common question - Should You Create Scripts For Your Videos.
Often people ask me, do I script my videos? And the answer is no I don't.
And the reason being is, that is a lot of time and work to be writing word for word what I'm going to say. And the truth is, if you're an expert in your business, you should know what you are going to say. Most of the time we're designing our content based on what we know, we're supposed to be the experts. We should be able to talk about what it is that we know.
One of the big things that happens that I see with scripts is that people come off like they're reading and it's so obvious as you noticed in the beginning clip that I showed. It's so monotone and most people lacked the skills to do this successfully.
The truth is we're not actors, you're not an actor. It's very unlikely that you're gonna be...
Ohhhhh no!!!!! There was supposed to be a video today!! Have you ever had that thought? Or do you just film sporadically when you feel motivated? On today's episode of Digital Champions, I discuss How To Create Videos More Effectively.
Well, it's pretty simple...
Plan. Plan. Plan. Plan.
Yes, planning is key.
There are a few things that I wanna go over that is gonna make it so much easier for you to be more effective and it's all focused on planning your filming.
1. Batch Your Filming
Filming multiple videos at one time is an absolute must for you to be able to create content consistently while saving time. That way you only have to set up your studio once.
This was my ninth video filmed on the day of recording this episode. Now, you don't necessarily have to film nine, but generally, I recommend you do film six to eight, as you can tell, I'm an overachiever, but you wanna make sure that you're batching at least a good amount based on how quickly you can get them out.
I see this mistake all the time - using a personal page for their business. On today's episode of Digital Champions, I discuss why it is so important for you to be using a business page instead of your personal page.
This is one of the most common mistakes that I've see people doing, where they're consistently trying to build their brand or build their business on their personal pages. By far no question, it is critical that you build your business on a business page.
The reason why a lot of people have a tendency to want to do it on their personal page is that they're getting more likes, they're getting more engagement on their personal page because the algorithms favor the personal accounts over the business accounts unless you're paying money. If you've watched a lot of my videos, you know that paying to play is always a good strategy in spending some advertising dollars.
Nick, what do you mean?
You just said the algorithms better on the personal pages but I should share...
On today's episode of digital champions, I'm talking about how to grow your social media following.
What are the most effective ways to grow your social media following and this works for all the platforms, is personally directly inviting people to follow your channels. This can be very effective, I don't necessarily recommend that you directly invite them to every single one of your channels. You can, it may work, but it's more effective if you do one at a time.
You send out to some friends, "Hey, I'm really looking to build my YouTube subscribers, can you please subscribe?" Now you send out some Facebook messages, "Hey, I'm looking to grow my Facebook page, would you mind subscribing?"
The reason why a personal invite is so effective, it's 'cause you're taking the time to invite them and it's personal, and it's a lot harder to say no and it's not a big ask. To ask somebody to follow your page is a simple thing that they can do. And if you took the time to invite them personally...
We're taking off our invisibility cloak for this one! On today's episode of Digital Champions, I am talking about one of the biggest mistakes I see and what we can do to resolve it.
On today's episode of "Digital Champions," I'm gonna talk about who should be managing your social media. This is a two-part answer.
One of the common mistakes that I see is that people wanna outsource and have somebody else do their social media, but the problem is, when somebody else, if you're hiring a company that's going to post for you and be the voice for you, they're gonna sound like them or they're gonna sound like everybody else because they're trying to be generic, so that it fits for you. But that's exactly how to be invisible.
If you're just like everyone else, these cookie-cutter companies that post for you, it does not work. It's not your voice. It has to be you. It's your organization, your company. You wanna be the voice and show the vision and the mission and put everything into...
